Aberration

What of he who belongs nowhere?

Not to any creed, nor any faith?

Not to his companions nor his country?

Not even to his own kin?

Not by his own doing.

Ousted. Ostracized.

A rejected creature.

And how did he come to be?

Is he a defect?

A broken creation?

Or an unsightly mutation?

It isn’t known.

And what is to become of him?

Have he not a home?

No. Forever a stranger to the world.

Should we pity the beast? Or put it out of its misery?
